Community bank in East Texas is seeking an experienced Controller to assist in managing its day-to-day accounting, finance, and reporting requirements. Thorough knowledge of banking regulations and compliance are expected. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as the ability to communicate clearly and to supervise and delegate tasks. The ideal candidate for this position is a hands-on, skilled multitasker, who is dependable and can consistently meet deadlines. Minimally, CPA preferred and 5 years’ work experience as a Controller is desired and/or equivalent proven experience in a senior accounting/finance role, preferably within a community bank setting.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervision of the accounting, finance and reporting requirements; audit and internal control functions; financial analysis and compliance; accounts payable, expense and budget management; payroll; financial policies and procedures; and risk management and other operations functions of the bank.
5 years’ work experience as a community bank controller with thorough knowledge of banking regulations and compliance and/or equivalent proven experience in a senior accounting/finance role, preferably within a community bank setting. CPA preferred.
